Junk do not buy!!!! After one year, compressor failure, they do have a 10 year parts warranty, but does not include labor, that was $850 bucks plus $135 for Freon. Will not replace unit only parts. It would have been cheaper to replace outdoor heat pump vs. Fixing it. Thanks York, you suck!

I had a York 3.5 ton unit installed in 2011. Last fall, the fan motor failed in the air handler and had to be replaced. As I sit and type this review, I am waiting for a service technician to replace the fan motor again. I've recently found out this is a common problem with certain York heat pumps. Really kicking myself for not buying a Trane or Carrier.

My York LX heat pump for the first two years would turn into a block of ice! I am warning everyone do not buy York there customer service is ridiculous, I payed out of pocket to fix a unit that is still under warranty. Do not buy York!

I had this York LX series unit installed 2 years ago. It has provided even warm heat(and the occasional blast of a/c in our typically temperate Northwest summers). Even with a 500 square foot addition, I am saving over 35% on my overall monthly electric bill. It is highly efficient and I am very happy.

I replaced my old HVAC unit with a York heat pump (14.5 SEER)and gas furnace. The unit has worked flawlessly for the past year. I added some ducting to increase flow to one of my rooms. The total cost for the 4 ton heat pump, gas heater and extra ducting was $9,510. This included $560 for a 10 year parts and labor warranty.
