"Installation of York equipment"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

Guardian Contracting, LLC (dba: Tyler's Heating & Air) – They spent the time to educate me on the HVAC systems and what the differences were on three different packages, what they termed: good, better & best. I was then able to make an educated decision on what worked best for my situation. I went with the Comfort Plan that gives me 10 Years Parts & 10 Years Labor on the York equipment. I went with the better package which was actually the YHJF30S4S1.

"Very satisfied York customer"

We are George Brazil customers. Although their services cost a bit more than some other contractors, we have been very satisfied with the professionalism of all employees who have been to our home. We were aware that our units were old and needed to be replaced. For example, the upstairs unit would cut on, run for 10 seconds, then cut off – several times a day, and the downstairs unit was not completely cooling or heating before cutting off. We had been visited by a George Brazil representative in the summer. He returned in the fall to re-examine our units. We wanted to replace our units before they failed. Being proactive gave us the flexibility to choose the month (November), which is a benefit to having workers in our attic when it is a temperature not in the triple digits. Our home had Chas Roberts units, which had been efficient when they were new. At 15 years old in the Phoenix heat, they were no longer efficient. The George Brazil representative described different units available through their company and the different pros and cons of each. We had not had York products before and were uncertain, so we asked several questions before deciding on the units. The units were installed three days after purchasing them. The installers were professional and efficient. One gentleman worked in the attic while the other worked on the outside units. Runners were placed inside the front door and up the stairs to keep the flooring clean. When they were done, they vacuumed inside and removed all debris outside. The weather was pleasant after installation, so we did not need to run our units for a few weeks. When we did need them, we couldn't tell they were on because they have been quiet. Furthermore, programming them has been much easier than with our prior units.

"Excellent system"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

We have had this system a little over a year. It is excellent and keeps an even temperature throughout the house. We love the 2-way airflow for efficiency; our electric bills have been lowered as a result.

When unit shuts down, it sounds like a rather loud bang.

"York sucks"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

Bought a York Latitude LX heat pump and air handler unit in 2009. 1 year later, the fan condenser motor failed and was replaced under warranty (parts and labor). On July 26, 2015, the compressor failed due to a bad relay (part covered) and cost $945 to fix. The entire system installed was right at 5k. 6 years later the 2 most major components have failed. York is a piece of shit and I would never recommend them to anyone.
