The TM9X is a discontinued furnace which had a 95.5% AFUE rating as well as the Energy Star seal. The compact 33-inch cabinet fit in most spaces and the unit had a standard fan motor with a single-stage burner as well as multi-position configuration.
The TM9X also provided a more effective air distribution thanks to the advance blower motor. The furnace models earned the Good Housekeeping seal which represents trust and quality. The TM9X was part of the York LX series.
It’s been over 1 year since we had our York furnace & A/C installed. Both are running great. Our contractor, Rodman’s Heating, helped select the York equipment that was suited to the size of our house. I can get all the heat or cold I want, and my energy bills are lower than before. The only issue I’ve had was with the little separate condensate pump, which pushes my condensation up & over to my laundry tub as opposed to straight into my floor drain. Rodman’s fixed this right away, though I don’t think it’s York equipment.
"Ronald Kelly’s review"
I have had this equipment just a little over a year and have not had any problems outside of just a couple of minor warranty calls. The equipment has performed very well. I have not measured the reduction in energy yet but I am sure there is a benefit.
Do not buy this furnace! I was convinced by a furnace contractor that York furnaces are good. I didn’t listen to the bad reviews on this site. What a mistake! This furnace quit after two years. The venter motor seized, leaving my family with a no heat situation in freezing cold weather. What an absolute piece of garbage! How can this company sell such poor quality on the market? Take heed! Avoid York at all costs unless you like never knowing when you are going to be freezing in the middle of winter.
Bad installation by the contractor(High Life Heating and Air Conditioning).
A very quiet running unit on the inside, the outside is a little noisy but that’s outside, can’t hear it run at all inside. The temp, stays very uniformed much better than my old hot spot Lennox Pulse and so much quieter. This unit is also very small I couldn’t believe how small it is and how much power it has.
