York TM9V Furnace Overview

The York TM9V furnace, a part of the LX series, was designed to couple efficiency with comfort. The quiet furnace uses a 2-stage burner and a constant speed blower intended to evenly distribute heat house-wide. The TM9V operates using variable speed technology, meaning the blower gradually adjusts to deliver comfort without waste. It has a 96 percent AFUŠ• rating and carries the Good Housekeeping Seal.

Additional features of the TM9V include a 2-stage inducer operation, a built-in self-diagnostic display and an adjustable delay timer that allows for 2-stage operation using a single-stage thermostat. The heat exchanger is constructed from aluminized stainless steel tubing and the blower compartment is insulated for optimal performance. Its compact size of 33 inches makes it suitable for installation in homes where space is an issue. This particular unit can be installed in upflow, horizontal left or right, or downflow configuration and can be converted to use propane gas.

"Lucky day"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

Last Febuary, 2015, was one of the coldest winters on record. We went away for a few days to visit our daughter. We get our house cleaned every 2 weeks and luckily that’s when our 25 year old furnace quit. Arrangements were made and the contractor left an industrial electric heater in our hall so the pipes wouldn’t freeze until we could return. The day after we got back a new furnace was installed and no charge for the heater which was there for a good 4 days. The installer recommended York and he was finished in one day. The charges were reasonable and he was very professional, quick and efficient.

"New furnace feedback"

We previously had in-floor radiant heat in the lower level, with forced air heating the upper level. Our previous heating system was very inadequate and inefficient. The old system cost an average of $250 per month to heat our approximately 3000 square foot two level home. There was no evenness to the heat; areas within the home that were very cold, and other areas were hot. And the old system was very noisy. Our new York, natural gas furnace is saving us approximately $75 per month. It is extremely quiet to the point you do not even hear the furnace start during the night. And the heat is evenly distributed throughout the home. I have definitely recommend the York, natural gas series tm9v furnace to others.

"Great unit, excellent installation"

We replaced a 23-year-old Carrier furnace that was having major problems starting up and entering recovery mode. Waking up to a cold house and not knowing if the furnace would kick in became too unpredictable over a 3 week period and we felt compelled to shop around for a new furnace. Standard Heating in the Twin Cities attempted to repair the old furnace first, but when it became evident that the issues were more major, we asked for a sales call. Overall, the York furnace is very quiet. We really like the 2-stage capability and really like the ECM fan. This is a major upgrade for us, and we can notice that the heat is now very balanced in our house. Very happy and by registering the unit, we ensure that we get the 10-year warranty and the extremely long warranty on the heat exchanger.

"York furnace installation"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

Had our new furnace installed in October 2015 by Aire One East. The salesman was excellent to deal with, sold us only what we needed at a very good price with extended warranty from manufacturer included. The installers were professional and left our home clean. The furnace is very quiet and seems to run less than the old one did yet our home feels warmer and more comfortable. We have noticed reduced gas usage in our first billing.
