The Westinghouse Combi is a modulating condensing gas boiler that combines space heating with an option for domestic hot water capabilities. It is Energy Star qualified and includes the Combi Floor, which is floor mounted and has an efficiency of up to 93.2% AFUE, and the Combi Wall, a wall mounted model with an efficiency of up to 95% AFUE. The unit features a stainless steel fire tube heat exchanger for increased efficiency and a ceramic fiber burner which offers high combustion efficiency and low NOx emissions. Safety features of the Combi boiler include a dual stage anti-freezing mechanism and a gas leak detector which turns the unit off and activates an alarm in the event of a gas leak.
I have a 2000 square foot house and this boiler gets the job done. I've had this boiler for a little over a year now. However, this boiler is not as efficient as advertised, so you won't get the full rebates. Also, I live in a home with 4 other people and we cannot have more than one hot shower at a time. This winter hasn't been very cold yet but I am worried it will not provide us with the heat we need when it gets to the middle of winter. So if you have a smaller home or maybe less people in your household, this boiler would be best for you.

"Review for my Westinghouse Boiler"
5.0 rating
Very Satisfied
We purchased the Westinghouse boiler for my family's home in Rochester, New York a few months ago on September 23, 2015. What I like about the boiler is it reduces the overall heating cost since it's a multiple-in-one boiler, it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and is also very user friendly and modern. What I don't like about the boiler is how difficult it was to get setup in our home, it took a few tries ourselves until we decided to call our plumber to install the boiler for us which was an added expense after already paying over $2500 for the boiler. Since it's a new boiler we have not had the need to repair or replace it. I would definitely recommend this Westinghouse boiler to friends and family that live in extremely cold areas of the world as it has provided us with excellent heating and lower overall costs. This is our first year with the boiler but it seems to be great so far.

Plan on replacing, doesn't provide enough hot water for my family if we all need it at once. Also increasing my gas bill more than expected. The specs that are advertised did not meet my expectations.

"Westinghouse Boiler never runs out of hot water and is easy to use. Also provides good heat in cold weather."

I've owned this boiler about two months. I like that it never seems to run out of hot water. There is nothing I dislike about it so far. I've never had problems with it. So far have not needed any repairs or replacements. I'd definitely recommend the Westinghouse brand. It's very cold where I am and I have found the boiler to be more than sufficient. Another thing I will say is that the boiler is very quiet, which I love. It runs smoothly but is not obnoxious. Can be easily installed if you only follow the instruction manual.

We just purchased our place and this was here already, so we did not purchase it ourselves. However it seems to be a very efficient unit and I am pleased with its performance.
Among the very few online comments regarding the Westinghouse Combi boiler in HVAC forums is one on heatinghelp.com from a homeowner wondering if using his Combi in a closed system will void the warranty. There’s a lot of confusion about this, with no clear answer from the several responses.
