The Trane YSC-A is a discontinued rooftop air conditioner that comes in 3- to 10-ton capacities and operates at 60 hertz. This commercial product in the Precedent series is a gas/electric, standard efficiency convertible unit that the company began producing around 2004.
The YSC-A uses a ReliaTec Controls system that requires few components and, therefore, has few parts from which problems can arise. The system receives information from a variety of standard and optional sensors that work together to anticipate and address temperature changes for ensured comfort. This unit also works with the “Integrated Comfort System” that can sense and then indicate when the filter needs cleaning or a fan needs repair.
A black epoxy finish provides corrosion protection to the coil, which is gapped for easy cleaning. The drain pan is non-corrosive, removable and sloped for reliable drainage that can be set up from either side of the unit.
Installed the top of line XC90i a/c two years ago. Its a dual compressor unit, which works great for our climate. This equipment works perfectly. I highly recommend. Its not inexpensive, but of you need dependable a/c that uses power efficientlky, than this is your baby!
