Tempstar SmartComfort VC 97 Furnace Overview

The Tempstar SmartComfort VC 97 is a discontinued variable-speed modulating gas furnace with an efficiency rating of 97% AFUE. It was Energy Star qualified and featured an RPJ stainless steel heat exchanger for improved heat transfer. The unit’s Observer communicating control had a full color touchscreen and allowed communication between all system units. A variable-speed blower motor, sealed blower compartment, and soft mount components helped to lower operating sound levels. The unit’s durable pre-painted steel cabinet was insulated for sound and heat loss reduction.
