Product Lines
Tempstar markets its units under the product name of SmartComfort. Its highest tier products feature the Observer communicating wall control system. The company markets their highest efficiency furnaces, central air conditioners and heat pumps under the SmartComfort Deluxe Series product name. The SmartComfort Deluxe 98 is the top-of-the-line furnace, with an AFUE of up to 98 percent, while the 19 SEER SmartComfort Deluxe 19 (TVA9) is the company’s premier model of air conditioner.
Warranty
Tempstar offers a limited warranty on all functional parts; most units feature a 10-year warranty, according to the manufacturer, but this will vary among specific units. You must provide proof of yearly service, as well as your original purchase receipt, to qualify for warranty repairs. The manufacturer’s “No Hassle Replacement” limited warranty replaces a unit in the event that a primary component such as a compressor or heat exchanger fails within the warranty period. That length of time varies from one year for base-level products to 10 years for the company’s highest tier products.
