Slant-Fin Sentry Boiler Overview

I've owned this boiler for just over a year now and so far I'm very happy with the features that this unit has. I did a lot of research on boilers before I bought this one. The Slantfin brand had mostly good reviews, with very few bad ones. It was a great price for a great product. I installed it myself with the help of a friend. The install was easy and my friend needed a new boiler so he bought one for his home and i helped him install it. The boiler works well and has a lot of nice features on it. I haven't had to repair or replace it yet, but if I did I would go wit another Slantfin. Make sure you use the Z-Flex chimney liner – it is the best way to keep the fumes from entering the house from the chimney. Time will tell if I still feel the way I do now, but so far I like this boiler.

I have owned this boiler for 2 years, I installed it shortly after moving into a new home. I bought this one mostly for the price, and I thought it was fair. I was not able to spend over two thousand dollars on a higher end boiler so I chose this one as a good alternative. I have not had to repair or replace it, so that is good, but I do not think it is extremely efficient – after all it is the cheaper option. I purchased the boiler from Home Depot and it was one of their less expensive models. Sometimes it takes a long time to heat up the house. The components seem to be quality and I would buy one again if I moved to a different house or area. I would definitely need to upgrade the boiler however if I moved into a much larger house in the future.

We have owned our new boiler for a few months now so it is fairly new. We are used to cold winters and it gets really frustrating when the boiler isn't working right or needs repair. This was the story of our last one so the new one is brand new and works very well. We were told that this one was just big enough to handle our house but on the coldest days it doesn't seem to have any cold spots in the house and it works very quick to warm the house. The only thing I dislike about the new one is where it is located in the garage but this is just where it has to be for the house so isn't the boilers fault. I would most definitely recommend this brand to a friend, I love the fact of not having to think about whether it's working or not. I would buy the same one again if in the situation again.

I bought my SlantFin boiler last year at the local Home Depot. I asked for an affordable boiler that was easy to use and the Home Depot salesman recommended the S-90EDP because it's in the middle range as far as price and BTU's go, plus it's easy to install. This was important to me because I am a new homeowner. I am satisfied with the high performance and how it saves fuel through the thermal targeting technology and pre-purge option. This is also important to me because we are on a budget and wanted a boiler that is environmentally friendly. So far I have not had any maintenance problems and there isn't anything to dislike about it. This is the first boiler that I have bought and I am not worried about replacing it any time soon because there is a 25 year warranty with it. I would recommend this boiler to a new home owner like myself. Thank you
