The Slant/Fin GXHA is a high performance gas-fired steam boiler with an efficiency rating of up to 81.3% AFUE. The unit features a built-in integral draft diverter which reduces clearance requirements to just 18″ above the boiler, making the GXHA perfect for tight installations with overhead obstructions. It has an intermittent pilot ignition and an optional tankless heater, and a control with LED lights to monitor system operation. The GXHA also has a built-in speed skimmer trough which discharges dirt and contaminants through a drain faucet and greatly reduces boiler cleaning time.
I needed a new boiler for the start of the new year, so I have only owned this new boiler for about four months now. I really like how reliable this new boiler is and I like how well it functions. I also got it for a very reasonable price and it did not take me long at all to pay it off. There is not much at all that I dislike about this boiler except for the fact that sometimes it has a little trouble turning on and off. For this reason, I needed to get it repaired back in February and I had no trouble at all getting it repaired. I would recommend this boiler to all of my close friends and family and I can say from my own personal experience that this boiler was a great decision in purchasing and I would go with this brand again.
"Slant/Fin boiler works great and was a life saver."
Last fall we moved into our new home and within a month the old boiler had crapped out, just when the cold of winter started to creep in. We needed a new efficient boiler that could effectively heat our 4 bedroom flat, and we needed it to be affordable as we were new home owners. Fortunately this Slant/Fin unit came to the rescue. Available at our local Home Depot (for a discount no less when we bought it), the unit was delivered and installed in a few hours, and soon we were saved from the onslaught of winter's cold. The unit runs quiet and efficient, our gas bills have been quite manageable over the last two winters despite several months of cold temperatures. It provides great heat for our older radiator system (the house is over 100 years old) and to top it off the company offers a 25-year warranty on the unit. We would absolutely recommend this unit to our friends and family.
"Pretty Good Boiler"
I would say the things I like the most about my boiler is that it's very energy efficient. It's not noisy and sits just inside my laundry room and causes no problems. There's no leakage or smells either. I've only had it for about two years now but haven't had any issues and it's not needed any repairs in all the time we've had it. My only complaint would be that the hot water tends to run out after about 20 minutes, making long showers a bit difficult to take. On the plus side though it does heat the water up fairly quickly even when it's snowy outside. I've never waited more than 2 minutes to take a hot shower at 6 a.m. when the pipes are freezing cold. I would probably recommend it to a friend but if I was going to buy a new one I'd probably buy one that has a higher water heating capacity.

I think that so far I feel satisfied with my boiler. My wife and I just bought a house only 2 years ago and we needed to replace the old boiler that the previous owners had. We got this one at a good price and so far it has been working well for us. I like that so far it is very reliable and hassle-free. I can trust that it will get the job done, even in the dead of winter. There is no sign of fatigue on it, so I can tell it is going to last me quite a while down the road. The price was a little off putting, but I suppose you get what you pay for in this instance. The only other issue was getting it down my narrow basement stairs. If my friend could afford it, I'd say go and buy a boiler just like this one. At least from the same makers. It's a solid piece that really gets things warm without having to wait too long.
"Boiler gets the job done"
This hot water boiler heating system is pretty great. I bought it 2 years ago and I haven't had a single problem with it to date. As a homeowner, it is important to have things like my hot water boiler to continue to work for me without regular maintenance and that is exactly what I have with my Slant/Fin Galaxy. Apparently I am not alone in purchasing this boiler as many sing its praises. I would say if there's any dislike, it is that I might be able to get a little hotter water with an alternative, but that isn't something I'm worried about. I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.
