We have owned the water heater for about 2 weeks. Our old water heater was leaking the the heating element went out. I love how efficient our new water heater is and how east it is to use. It also give you a lot of information on the LCD touchscreen display. So far we have not had to fix or replace anything. I would recommend to friends and family. I also love everything about this brand so far.
"Review of my water heater"
I have owned our water heater for over two years. It has worked fairly well but has had some issues as well. I like that I have hot water for longer periods of time and can also get heated water instantly. I have had some issues with the upkeep of the flame igniters. We have had the plumber over a number of times for warranty and service of the unit. So far the last technician did a great job on the cleaning and service of our water heater. I however would not buy this brand again. I would also not recommend this brand nor model to anyone else. If we ever replace this unit it will be a different brand and model. I do enjoy the unit if it works but have had a lot of issues with this system. I also am curious if I made the right decision choosing it.
"Great Heater At an Affordable Price"
I've owned this water heater for just over half a year and feel that I have a fair handle on what to expect from it. I like that it heats water quickly and seems to be friendly on my energy bill. I dislike the size capacity of the shower. It seems when my wife takes a shower before I do, I seem to not have enough hot water left for a shower of my own. Without fail, halfway through my shower, the heat will run out and I'm left soapy and forced to finish up with ice cold water. That aside, the water heater has treated me well. I've never had issues with leaks or it needing repairs of any kind. I would definitely buy the same brand again, but I would probably shell out a little more for a larger capacity heater. That's my two cents anyway.
"A non-biased critical review of Rheem Water Heater"
I have had this heater for a relatively short amount of time, just a couple of months to date. And yet it has managed to surpass my expectations. The thing I like best about it is how energy efficient it truly is. I have seen a good amount of drop on my electric bill. One thing I regret in purchasing this is I should have gotten the 80 gallon model instead of the 50. That was a mistake on my part, but I felt the one I got was enough. So if in case you are planning on getting this line or series, just make sure to consider your consumption. Because as far as the energy savings and efficiency of this product, you don't really have to worry about it. So get the one that has the most capacity. I would definitely recommend and buy this brand over and over again if given the need to do so.

Comments about the Prestige on online forums appear to be mixed. On Amazon.com there are several comments stating that the unit works great, while others say that the complex technology, especially with the tankless units, leads to problems. A homeowner asking for advice on terrylove.com in choosing between the Professional Prestige and a similar A.O. Smith unit found most members recommending the Prestige.
