Electric units range in capacity from 6 to 50 gallons, with an energy factor of up to .95. I have owned my Rheem water heater for about 2 years and I love it. I work at Home Depot so when I had to replace my old one because it had a water leak I asked them what they would prefer. They suggested Rheem because they have sold so many and they have so many good reviews. I had to get a cheaper one because I could not afford the more expensive ones. I also had to look into the size because I could only have one so big to fit in the spot it needed to go. I would buy this type again because I have had no issues with it and there are so many people where I work that have them as well and love them too. I would definitely recommend it to any of my friends or coworkers because it is such a good product.
There are very few online comments regarding the Rheem Performance water heater on HVAC forums. A consumer on terrylove.com asked for opinions about the Performance versus the Performance Plus and Performance Platinum, with the majority of responses favoring the Platinum. The main reason listed was the higher energy factor.
