The Rheem Fury Electric is a discontinued water heater with an efficiency of .85 – .95 EF. It came in short, medium and tall configurations, with capacities ranging from 20 to 120 gallons. The EverKleen self-cleaning device improved efficiency and tank life by using a high-velocity spiraling water stream to fight sediment build-up. The unit used a high efficiency resistored heating element to help extend anode rod and tank life. The Fury also came with a brass drain valve and temperature and pressure relief valve.
This water heater was placed in the home when it was built a little over six years ago, we actually have two water heaters for our home. It is a standard water heater. It does heat our water and seems to function correctly. I dislike that it is higher up on the energy usage scale and that it has started to make bubbling noises frequently even when the water is not in use and has not been in use for quite some time. However, two different showers can run at the same time and we do not seem to have any issues with not having adequate hot water. We have not had to repair either of these units as of yet. I would probably investigate more into the tank less water heater arena and see if I could find something that operates with a little more energy efficiency next time we are in the market. It does however do it's job fairly well.

"A review of the Rheem Water heater"
After living in my home for approximately six months, my old water heater stopped working completely. We called a technician to our home to have a look and ensure that it couldn't be fixed and he began the process of replacing the unit. He drained the unit first and then proceeded to replace with the new unit. The new unit is a Rheem Water heater, Energy Miser and is wonderful. I've had no issues with losing hot water after 3 showers, doing laundry and running the dishwasher. No longer do we have to wait until the water is heated again in order to be able to take a shower. It works great. The last unit we had was very loud, however this new unit is quiet and is running very smoothly. I was concerned with the initial temperature that the unit was set to, as I did not want anyone in my home to be burned, however, it is currently set to a higher temperature, as recommended by the manufacturer, and we have had no issues with it at all. I would highly recommend this water heater to anyone who is thinking of purchasing a new one or someone who is in need of replacement.
