Peerless offers in its Pinnacle Series both a gas- and oil-burning boiler. Offering a 95-percet AFUE, the gas burning unit is available in five models, using either natural or LP gas. The oil burning model is Energy Star-approved and has an AFUE of up to 92 percent.
The Pinnacle has two wall-mounted options and, according to the manufacturer, its compact, lightweight design was intended to ease installation in tight spots. This model also features a user-friendly control board equipped with outdoor reset control, advanced water temperature monitoring and an LED digital display of system settings.
A direct vent, a spark ignition, stainless steel construction, fully modulating burner and a metal mesh burner designed to reduce emissions are additional components of the Peerless Pinnacle.
Replaced air switches, blower motors, etc would go down every 2 months since new. Big pile of garbage.

"Information On Class Action Lawsuit"
If anyone is interested in looking into a Class Action Lawsuit against Peerless for their Pinnacle Furnace Please send your information to me. Kevin Kwiatek 56 w Main Street Glen Lyon pa 18617. If I can get enough responses I will seek out an Atty. who would represent us. I am tired of putting up with the constant breakdowns. Peerless was deceitful in putting their name on a boiler they did not manufacture.

"Peerless boiler is junk."
We purchased this Peerless boiler a few years ago. I am now on my 3rd combustion blower at $400.00 each. Replaced the electrode and flame sensor and this boiler needs to be cleaned a lot. I service heating systems and this one is very expensive to operate. Stay away from these things. I also installed a camera to monitor the boiler when we are away. Can't trust this thing. We have wood heat for primary heat source and the peerless is only used when we are away or in the summer for heating water.
"Piece of Trash"
This boiler is garbage. This boiler went haywire and needed a new blower motor and some other parts after the first year. Also, numerous emergency service calls for faults and failures. Expensive to buy and have installed. Ridiculously expensive to repair and maintain. I have spent more on repairs and maintenance than the original cost. Now it's making an awful and loud rumble and vibration at ignition, sounds like its going to blow up. Just thinking of yanking it out and starting over with a different brand. I originally bought this because I was led to believe it was the best out there, yeah . . . right.
Bought the unit in 2008 for a vacation home in MI. The unit worked for 1 season then crapped out. Replaced the mother board and the flame sensor. Stopped going to the vacation home in the winter due to its unreliability. I would never purchase another Peerless product nor would I recommend it to anyone. I would be happy to join a class action suit against the company.
Overall, HVAC contractors and consumers on hvac-talk.com recommend Peerless products to shoppers looking for a new cooling system. Happy homeowners comment on how quickly the unit heats up their home and the longevity of the unit.
Conversely, threads and comments on complaintsboard.com and heatinghelp.com reflect various troubleshooting issues with this unit. Homeowners report frequent system errors, temperature swings and key electrical components breaking down, including the fan/board assembly, gas value and hot-surface igniters. Consumers also note the high cost for the repairs, even with the warranty.
Poor customer service from Peerless also is a frequent grievance on complaintsboard.com. Improper installation, failure to follow up with maintenance issues and a limited warranty are among the most common complaints.
