Peerless MI Boilers | FurnaceCompare®

PEERLESS MI Boiler Overview

The Peerless MI Series consists of seven packaged hot water boilers offering up to 80.2 percent AFUE. These cast iron boilers are designed for natural draft use with a conventional chimney, and feature a low-profile design for installation in low clearance areas such as garages, closets or attics.

Models in this series have a heating capacity ranging from 58 to 211 MBH and are available in either natural or LP gas. Additional components of the MI Series include a Taco circulator, a flame rollout safety shutoff switch, and a vent safety shutoff switch, and the option of either a standing pilot or intermittent ignition.

In addition, standard Honeywell controls are included with the goal of making maintenance for this unit easier for contractors and less expensive for homeowners.

"JUNK JUNK JUNK"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

They are junk junk junk. I bought 2 boilers 16 months ago. I had to spend 7,500 dollars. Had to replace igniter, then the gas valve, then the pump. I had my old furnace for 20 yrs with just two problems. I don't know what's next for these junks. If I would have known I would not have wanted them if they were free. I do not recommend them to anybody. They are junk. They should stop selling them. I hope the government sues them for robbing people. They told me they are a smart system. Yeah, they are smart all right: they know how to rob you all right.

"I love my Peerless MI-05 Boiler"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

I have had the Peerless MI-05 boiler for a little over a year now. I love it because it is cost effective, it is very small and compact, and it is relatively quiet. Due to limited space in my home it is in a closet off of a "office" room. So it not being loud like my last boiler is defiantly a plus. As I said before I have had this boiler for over a year and have not had to call the plumber back for any problems. If things go like they are then I will be a lifetime customer for Peerless, and I one hundred percent would recommend peerless boilers to any friends and family. PEERLESS THANK YOU.

"Peerless NG Boiler, MI-04 SV"

3.0 rating
Neutral

Recently bought a Peerless NG Boiler, MI-04, 105,000 BTU along with a Pprtner indirect HW heater. This replaced an old boiler with a coil. The indirect water heater is actually a "Super Stor" (not made by Peerless) although none of the Peerless literature states this. My only complaint so far is that you need to run the faucets (kitchen, bath, etc.) for about 45 seconds for the water to get hot. The wait time was under 10 seconds with my old system. No idea why.
