The NY Thermal Trinity Tx is a high efficiency stainless steel gas boiler. The Tx has a 94% AFUE and is Energy Star rated. It features a wall-mount configuration with an optional floor stand. Models of the Tx range from 57,000 to 199,000 BTU/hr. and two of the models are available in a combi boiler version. All components are quick-release type and the unit comes pre-wired for use with an indirect water heater. The Tx has a fully modulating combustion system, and all water connections are located at the bottom of the unit. Venting is available up to 150 feet on most models, with 2-inch venting on most models up to 100 feet.
Do not buy this piece of garbage. I have an excellent team that installed and services the boiler and its been nothing but trouble. I am in the the third year of this boiler and its down weeks at time with issues. We fix one issue only to have another one resurface. The manufacturer also tried to get out of nonscoring the warranty due to lack of servicing by us. Complete nonsense as this piece of junk has had a technician servicing it for long spans over the last three years.
Do not buy this boiler its nothing but a nightmare and will constantly break down..

"Tx51-200 combo unit"

We replaced our older (and still working) NYT unit about 2 1/2 years ago with the latest but not so greatest. This new unit can best be described as "wonky" and has been a disappointment to our family despite repeated visits by locally qualified technicians. Despite adjustments to the unit the famed NYT "cold water sandwich" ranges anywhere from 20 seconds to almost 3 1/2 minutes for hot water to start flowing and no one can figure out why the discrepancy. It is consistently inconsistent. Our shower is almost directly above the unit and it's not uncommon to wait well over a minute for the water to even get lukewarm while at other times it's just a matter of a few seconds. We are retirees and can't afford a new boiler so we feel trapped and disappointed at this company. We thought buying Canadian was a good thing but turns out not so much. We cannot recommend this boiler.

Every year since this was installed, I have had to have repairs done. The pressure sensor has been replaced twice after the boiler has locked itself out, the controller has failed, and the display screen and control panel has failed. All have occurred within the first 5 years! Total garbage.

For the past three years I've been as patient as I could be with this boiler. I bought the Trinity Tx 51, as it was the smallest boiler I could find for my small house. The controller has had to be replaced twice and along with it, the touchpad making it impossible to clear the never-ending lockouts caused by the faulty controller. My plumber is excellent (also happens to be an engineer) and I'm confident this is not an installation issue. Don't buy this, your hopeful outlook won't make it work.

"Mechanically great, logic interface poor"

Somewhat Satisfied
The Trinity Tx51 was the smallest boiler I could find for my small house. Mechanically, it's been perfect after 2 and a half years of operation. However, the logic and control portion has been poor. The logic board had to be replaced twice (thankfully while under parts and service warranty), as it developed an error which locked out the boiler in winter. Also, the interface had to be replaced due to an inoperable button. This was covered by the parts warranty, not the service warranty.

Trinity Tx Warranty
The Trinity Tx is covered by a 5-year warranty on defective components from the date of manufacture or 1 year from the date of installation, whichever period is longer. There is a pro-rated lifetime extended pressure vessel warranty after the first year of installation. The boiler must be registered within 1 year of installation to qualify for the extended pressure vessel coverage. The warranty does not cover labor or shipping costs. The warranty is to the original owner and location and is not transferable.
