Corporate History
Monitor was incorporated in 1984 to continue sales of the Monitor brand of heating systems developed by KeroSun. In 1986, Tokyo Boeki Ltd. (now known as Tokyo Boeki Group) acquired Monitor. In 1990, the company entered the market for tankless water heaters and introduced the MWH180 in 2006. In 2008, Monitor moved its headquarters to Robbinsville, New Jersey, allowing the conpany to consolidate the training area and customer support center in the same building. Monitor’s line of water heaters has since been discontinued.
Product Lines
Monitor essentially produced a single series of tankless gas water heater: the MWH180, which had a maximum flow rate of 5.8 gallons of water per minute. The MWH180 was 82% efficient and Energy Star rated. The series included a second model, the MWH180EX, which was designed for outdoor installation.
