Miller Manufacturer Overview
Miller manufactures a full line of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and packaged systems for manufactured homes. Miller is owned by Nortek Global HVAC, a subsidiary of Nortek, Inc. Nortek Global HVAC had net sales of approximately $642 million in 2017.
Corporate History
Miller has been manufacturing and distributing HVAC equipment for manufactured homes since 1919. In 1986, the Miller brand was acquired from parent company Lear Siegler by Nordyne, a manufacturer and distributor for add-on, replacement and new construction heating and cooling products.
Product Lines
All Miller products are designed to heat and cool efficiently with or without a matched system. Split-system air conditioners and heat pumps range from 13 to 16 SEER and feature a small, compact size for installation on a slab or snow stand. Copeland compressors are standard components.
The company’s packaged units are also designed for outdoor installation. These systems consist of a heat pump or air conditioner or a gas/electric package unit in a corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel casing. These units offer performance up to 15 SEER.
Miller also manufactures oil, gas and electric furnaces. While AFUE ratings vary, all units are equipped with a heavy-gauge aluminized steel heat exchanger and insulated cabinets to reduce operation noise and heat loss.
Warranty
Miller provides a 1-year limited warranty on parts, labor and mileage for the technician for all heating and cooling units. Packaged units are equipped with an additional 10-year warranty on compressors, while split systems have a 5-year warranty on the compressor. Furnaces have an extra 10-year warranty on heat exchangers, with a lifetime warranty available for select models.
