Corporate History
Mahoning was started by Dale Smith in 1987, and incorporated in 1995. The company recently invested over $2 million to develop an all refractory wood burning combustion system and a sophisticated electronic control system which was used on the Skye Series V line of wood furnace.
Product Lines
Mahoning outdoor furnaces are designed to provide heat and domestic hot water for many applications, including residential housing, barns, churches, green houses, body shops, etc. Mahoning’s wood furnace, the Skye Series V, uses wood to heat water and distribute it through heat exchangers, radiant floor tubing or radiators to warm the building. It is an EPA Phase II Qualified product.
The Terra Series of outdoor coal furnaces features a 1/4″ plate steel water tank and firebox and stainless steel exterior and smoke stacks. Mahoning’s Legacy series is a coal or wood burning outdoor unit available in six models: the 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 750. The Legacy has a water capcity ranging from 228 gallons for the 200 to 1,100 gallons for the 750.
Warranty
Mahoning Outdoor Furnaces provides a 3-year warranty for reparation and replacement, and a 1-year warranty on all electrical components. Service contracts are also available.
