"NOT WORTH THE METAL TO BUILD IT"

Luxaire heat pump 5 years old, replaced the coil the second year, freon leaked out 2 times, warranty just expired and no Freon. cost $400.00 to get Freon added. It does not do a good job of cooling a small home. Runs constantly and can't afford the electric bills for this non efficient junk

"Luxaire/Unitary Products = Crap!!!"

Junk! Junk! Junk!!! Have had this unit for 5 1/2 years (go figure warranty just expired and it broke again yesterday) and it's been a hunk of junk from day one!! Freon leaks, boards changed, wiring changed, now heat pump out! Luxaire will not help you, answer questions, back up the junk that they sell etc. Service calls at least twice a year from day one! Heat pump just went out! Can't afford to fix it! And we have a 20-month old child. Can't afford to replace it or I'd chunk it out in the street! Do not buy any of their products!!!! It's all crap!!!! I hope there will be a big lawsuit for this company and they go bankrupt!!!

"Luxaire Needs to be Sued"

Very Unsatisfied

I bought a package unit from Luxaire and they have turned a durable good into a cheap non-durable good. Their evaporator coil has a manufacturing defect and if we had a court system that was worth its pay, these problems would be fixed through judgements against them on a manufacturing defect (corrosion of evaporator tubing because of cheap production) instead of another corporate scam. Fix the manufacturing defect Johnson Controls, or get out of the business. Pay everyone for the costs your defects have caused and stop scamming the public.

I've only had 3 problems in 20 years. I live in Nepa. Two start capacitors and TX valve. This year it gave up replacing heat pump with new dry unit.

Unit was installed in 08' , worked fine until this past summer. Only 3-4 years of good service and the coil needs replacing. Parts under warranty, (zippety do da) but labor to fix almost one thousand dollars. Needless to say recomending a Luxaire unit to anyone other than say -Satan would be a serious breach of my humanity. If this company won't admit to a manufacturing defect, maybe a class action suit should be in order.
