I have a 3 year g40uh (X)series Lennox gas furnace that does not blow heat. The technician charged $124 to fix the combustion air inducer. He said that the motor for this model has been painted on the inside and the paint become flaky with heat and ultimately will clog the motor. The replacement motor has also been painted and his recommendation is to buy a new American Standard Ace model gas 80% furnace. Does anyone know if this interior paint problem of the motors is real?
"Lennox Gas Furnace"
The builder installed a Lennox g40uh(x) series gas furnace In the last 3 years when it is time to turn on the furnace, the tube passageway to the air flow was clogged not allowing the burners to light up. Does anyone know why this is happening and can tell me what to do to prevent this from happening
