"Don't Buy A LAARS"
I bought this furnace just about 2 years ago and last month I had to pay to have a switch replaced that cost me $228.00 and now just one month later the pump is bad and has to be replaced. So, even though the parts are covered under warranty I still have to pay the technician to come out to diagnose the issue then again to install the new parts. Plus, you have to pay the shipping on the new part. This will be another costly repair! So in 2 months in the dead of winter on a 2-year-old furnace I will be out $500-$600 and a freezing cold house and No hot water. I would not recommend a Laars furnace to anyone. Also when you call the "Warranty" department you get a voice mail. Really!!!
"Wall Hugh Combi"
Excellent boiler for the money. Very well built and love the mini indirect with the ability to have stored hot water in a wall hung unit.
I purchased this boiler around 1 year ago. So far I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I believe it was a great deal for the price. Cool that it hangs on the wall giving us more space in our laundry / boiler room. The boiler gives us all the hot water we need. One of the best decisions we made plus we got rebates from the utility and have recommended to many of our friends.
"Great product, service and NO warranty issues"
We went with these 3 boilers for a large hotel renovation in Richmond, Virginia in 2015. The heaters came to our shop and one came in that had a gas connection leak. Within a few weeks we had on onsite, Laars certified technician repairing the leak. We prefabbed a frame to set these 3 unit on, did all the piping and connections in our shop, loaded the entire skid onto a flatbed truck, and flew the whole set of heaters onto the roof. We made our final connections and did the startup with not a single issue. The year installation warranty expired and not a SINGLE issue with these heaters. The owner is very pleased and they supply all the hot water the hotel needs. Great product and we will go with Laars again on our next project!
"Do not purchase from this company- worst product."
We purchased two of the Mighty Therm boilers for our hotel less than 2 years ago to ensure we had redundancy for hot water. Both failed within weeks of each other. I wish I could include a picture of the burner tubes which pretty much disintegrated. 5 out of 8 failed. Never again will we purchase this product for any businesses in our corporation.
