HVAC professional recommended this over several others, and it has been problem-free. It is checked yearly!

Purchased unit in 1981 for our new home. Were told to rinse off with a hose before starting each year before turning on the 1st time. That is the only thing we've ever done. It's 2019 and it has never been serviced. Waiting to restart for another year. Hats off to Janitrol👍

Moved into our house in 1989 and this unit was installed in 1980 or so. Still running and no repairs since 1989. Can't ask for more than that. Would buy same brand again.

Installed with new construction in 1980 and is still working well 37 years later, every other appliance has had 1 or 2 replacements. Can't kill it to justify a replacement by the warranty company. I haven't done anything but replace a fuse in the 21 years I have lived here.

I bought a house 10 years ago with two Janitrol "The Dependable Ninety Two" units in it, one for each side of the house. There hasn't been a single season yet (summer or winter) where we haven't had to spend several hundred dollars to repair one or the other of them. (They were installed in 2003 and 2004). The only thing "Dependable" with these pieces of excrement is that one of them is going to cost us a car payment every 6-12 months. They're absolute junk. I wouldn't put Janitrol/Goodman units in any property I ever own even if they were free, and I will never buy another house heated/cooled by a Janitrol/Goodman unit. After 10 years I could've paid for new unit(s) just with what I've spent on repairs.
