ICP Commercial Manufacturer Overview
International Comfort Products (ICP) Commercial manufactures residential and commercial furnaces, package and split air conditioners and heat pumps in a variety of shapes and capacities. ICP is headquarted in Lewisburg, Tennessee, and is part of UTC Building and Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corporation. United Technology had net sales of $59.8 billion in 2017.
Corporate History
ICP Commercial is a subsidiary of ICP USA, which has been designing and manufacturing heat pumps for more than 50 years. The company was previously known as Inter-City Products until 1999, when ICP USA was purchased by Carrier parent company United Technologies Corp. and took on its current name. ICP products are manufactured in facilities located in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. United Technologies currently employs over 225,000 people.
At one point, ICP owned the Lincoln brand of high efficiency oil furnaces. However, the brand’s website (lincoln-hvac.com) disappeared in 2012.
Product Lines
ICP offers more than 10 different models of packaged heat pump available in a range from 2.5- to 25-ton capacities. Select units also are available as rooftop units.
While the individual units vary in features and efficiency, many offer 2-stage heating and cooling, medium- and high-static fan motor operation, a convertible airflow design and a factory-installed economizer option.
Models have up to 17 SEER and are equipped with a single- or dual-refrigerant circuit, depending on the model. The systems also have Comfort Alert diagnostics for simple maintenance
ICP Commercial also offers a line of residential 80% and 90% AFUE gas furnaces, along with residential oil furnaces and boilers.
Warranty
ICP Commercial offers a 1-year limited parts and 5-year limited compressor warranty for all of its commercial products. Consumers are encouraged to register their product for complete warranty benefits.
