Heil 9MPV Furnace Overview

The Heil 9MPV is a discontinued two-stage variable-speed gas furnace. It was Energy Star rated, with an efficiency of 92.1 AFUE. The 9MPV was factory shipped as natural gas, with LP conversion kits available. It offered four position installation, and dual certified venting that could be run horizontally or vertically. The unit had an external filter rack with permanent filters, and a blower assembly mounted on rails for easy maintenance. A thermal lined, one-piece steel cabinet and insulated blower compartment provided quiet operation.

There are few comments regarding the 9MPV on HVAC online forums. The problems with the unit mentioned on forums all appear to be minor and covered by the warranty. A consumer on doityourself.com had a wiring problem that was due to poor installation. A consumer with a newly installed 9MVP on hvac-talk.com described a loud noise from the unit and planned to contact the installer.

9MPV Warranty

The warranty for the 9MVP is comprised of a limited lifetime warranty on the heat exchangers and a limited 5-year warranty on parts.
