The HeatMaster G Series is a gasification wood furnace approved for indoor and outdoor installation. The gasification process reduces wood consumption, and its low maintenance design allows easy loading and cleaning. It is available in water capacities of 100, 195 and 250 gallons and a heating capacity of up to 350,000 BTU. The unit is constructed of 409 stainless steel for greater heat transfer and tolerance and features heavy duty multi-layer insulation. An insulated hinged rear door provides easy access to the rear of the furnace, and a dual firebox door latch is designed for safety. The 2016 starting price of the G Series wood furnace is $8,495.00.
I love everything about the G200…quality build, clean burning, little maintenance and lots of heat. I'm heating 3000 sqf and I am saving a lot of money compared to my electric heat pump plus the house is warmer. We load the stove for 12-14 hour burns and I couldn't be happier. I really like the smoke bypass of the g200, worth every penny as the smoke stays out of your face. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the stove. I'd highly recommend a Heatmaster without a doubt.
"Worth Every Penny"
After a lot of research and shopping around I settled on a Heatmaster g200 to heat my uninsulated 3000 sf 1794 farmhouse situated at 1000 feet on top of a windblown hill here in Western Maine. I had my Heatmaster g200 installed in October 2017, and have only great things to say about it! This is my second winter with it, so I now feel qualified to do an honest review. I liked the large firebox, stainless steel construction, reputation, warranty, reduced smoke when feeding the unit, and ease of maintenance. For me, I stockpile 10 cords of hardwood split into quarters. The wood is cut the spring before I use it, and I have had no problems. There is a learning curve. I learned not to throw all large rounds into the firebox. Instead, I'll put in a few rounds and the rest split. Also, as a rule of thumb in average weather in the 20's I put in 12-15 24' quarters to get a full 12 hour burn. When Ido this I can count on there being enough unburned wood to light and burn the next 12 hour load. We do not get a lot of smoke from the G200. As long as we have a good coal bed, and gasification the exhaust from the pipe is clear. I remove the ashes and clean out the gasification chamber weekly. And when we have a warm day I shut down the unit to remove and clean out the fan, as well as the top of the turbulator area. In the spring I clean out any creosote in the firebox. In the winter I get my domestic hot water DHW heated by the G200, and in a summer switch to the electric hot water heater. I use a Honeywell programmable thermostat setting the temp at 70 in the morning back to 65 during the day, and 62 at night and this has been perfectly comfortable for us. I'm very happy with this unit. There is no other way to keep my home toasty warm for less than $2000yr. with very little maintenance. This has been a great decision for our family. We are currently remodeling another home and will be investing in a Heatmaster for this home as well. Scott Wels Waterford, Maine
"HeatMaster G 200"
They say this stove is second to none. Ya, right! Well, gasification manifold falling apart after two heating seasons. Paint on roof falling off, the roof is rusting. Front of the stove is stained black from stuff dripping out every time you open door. Burns 10 cords of hardwood in 4 1/2 months heating only 2000sq.ft house. Not impressed with this stove.
"Pleased with furnace"
I am very pleased with the furnace I purchased from Beltowski sales and service Paul and his family went beyond helping us decided on which furnace was best for our needs very knowledgeable on what they were selling I would recommend them to others and if and when I would have to purchase another furnace I would but a Heatmaster and from Beltowski sales and service
"Research Paid Off"
Built in 1860, our home is 3 levels and requires a lot of heat. Tired of paying through the nose for heating oil, we did a ton of research and settled on the g200 —- glad we did. Our monthly heating costs have dropped by more than 50% and the furnace only requires 2x daily loading —once daily on mild days. When it comes to Virginia, the guys at Highland Welding and Outdoor Stoves are top notch. They know walked us through every step of the install, maintenance, etc. Looking forward to many years of service from the g200.
Online comments regarding the G Series seem to be mostly positive. Most responses to a homeowner on outdoorwoodfurnaceinfo.com who was thinking of buying one were very positive and said that it is a great unit, though a couple did mention that gasification units require more care than conventional units.
