Hamilton Engineering Boiler Reviews

Stay away from these boilers, Zero tech support, Zero Warranty! $500 a year maintenance, and now we can't keep blowers in the unit. Spent a lot of money in the last two months on this hunk of crap only to tear it out and throw it in the garbage.
"EVO Boilers Stay Away"
We had (2) Evo boilers installed at a large cost. They have been nothing but trouble. What is worse, is that there are no good techs to work on them. They half-way de-lime on a pm and then walk away. As for commercial use, I'd wish we never had bought them. The last pm cost us over $3k, which the old HydroTherm's they replaced were of better quality and only occasionally had a hiccup. I can say that their (Hamilton Engineering) support is null. Should have walked away at the install, because even the Hamilton tech support was confused.
Very expensive. 300 every year to keep it running.
Purchased 2 evo boilers. Over an 11 year period the failure rate has been extreme. I have document the frequency of failures and resets required per month to average 6 per month. Product support is non existent and the sister distribution company "Performance Engineering" no better..
"Evo Micro 179". There are no parts to be had and no one around that can repair them. The igniters get a build up on them and then fail, motor bearings rust and fail, and the combustion chamber gets buildup of a coffee ground looking substance that can plug the condensate drain. The back exhaust chamber will leak and get on the circuit board. In Canada these are a bad investment, I'm tired of fixing mine and will be replacing it. It did run good for the first 3 years, though after that nothing but problems and I maintained it every year as per manufacturer specs.
