"Frustration"
Installed 3 years ago. Changing the filter is a total pain in the ass. Three holes in the lower door, which is the contact, must line up with three holes in the upper door. Then you need a magnetic hex screwdriver to insert three screws if you have three hands: One hand to force the lower door down, one hand to keep the upper door firmly locked in place, one hand to insert the Hex screws. I checked- no other manufacturer has such an owner-unfriendly setup. Most have a simple hinged door, open lift out a filter, insert new.
"Pile of shit"
Total garbage. 5 years old and won't ignite. 4 Goodman plumbers can't get it fixed.
"Great furnace"
Simple to install. Just a little noisy. Fine if it's in the basement.
"Goodman contractor review"
HVAC contractor of 32 years. Several brands in my tenure and the last 6 years went with Goodman and can honestly say, it is a very well built unit. Many models and have very, very little failure within these 6 years, less than any other brand I have sold! I was not too much of a fan before they started to produce the quality units I sell now. Excellent factory support also. Anybody that is giving Goodman a bad review was just not given the correct installation and professional job they should have gotten.
"Furnace crap"
I am a heating contractor. Installed new line off Armstrong air furnace because Goodman furnace is big garbage. It's not honoring warranty, not labor warranty, not paying contractor work. Do not deal with Goodman anymore. It is the biggest garbage equipment on the market.
