This Goodman two stage furnace would quit twice every winter. I would service the unit spring and fall but have had nothing but trouble with the unit. We have been without heat in January for two weeks now because the furnace keeps blowing mother boards. We are currently getting bids for a new furnace and it will not be a Goodman. All my relatives go with Trane units and have had little to no problem with them. January is cold in Wyoming. This unit is gone!!!!!

I have been a heating contractor for 30 years and I have installed many equipment manufacture brands over the years, all brands have some problems… most equipment failures are due to poor installations and owner neglect…any brand would fail if installed in that condition. I have installed Goodman high efficient Goodman equipment in my house and many of my customer homes. We have 24 hr service and mose of the after hour service calls are due to lack of normal maintenance.

"Stay away"

1.0 rating
Very Unsatisfied

I have two Goodman furnaces installed in my house. Model gmnt-080 and gmnt-120. These units were inexpensive compared to other units (Carrier, Trane, Bryant etc.). I thought the warranty on these units was better than the other units and decided to have them put in my house. Every year since I have had a problem with one of the units. Both units needed to have the Hot Plate igniter replaced $75 + labor. I had one circuit board blown and now the gas exhaust fan is needing repair 300+. Stay away from these unless you plan on selling your home shortly after.
