The Goodman DSXC16 is a split system air conditioner with an efficiency of up to 16 SEER. It features a two-speed condenser fan motor and a two-stage Copeland scroll compressor with a foam sound blanket for quiet operation. The unit is equipped with high- and low-pressure switches, coil and ambient temperature sensors, and a factory-installed filter drier to increase longevity. Expanded ComfortAlert diagnostics are built in, with diagnostic indicator lights and storage of six fault codes. The DSXC16 is ComfortNet Communications System compatible, allowing remote control and monitoring of the system.
Had this system installed almost 1 year ago, had been working fine until now. It's been out for 4 days, a tech came and disbelieved what I told them it was doing, mainly blowing hot air and the compressor was not running. The tech changed the capacitor, the mother board, and a fuse in the air handler. It cooled the house down, cycled and blew hot again. I am sitting in a house now that is 88 degrees at 10 am waiting to see when the tech will return to attempt fixing it again. I'm very disappointed in the service and the product at this point. We spent $7,001.64 for a new system that was to give us years of headache-free cooling only to be severely disappointed. I wish Goodman could recommend installation companies who can fix their units.

The AC crapped out after 6 years. Have to recharge it every spring at a cost of $150.00 every year. Could have bought room air conditioners for that much. Very disappointed with their unit, it's a piece of crap.

I have had a Goodman for one year and it is awful. It actually blows warm air. The Goodman company sent out a technician and after several visits, was unable to fix the problem( although he claimed it was now working according to specs). Unless specs means "blowing warm air" he lied. The Goodman was installed by ****** who refuses to stand by his installation, which Goodman claims was faulty. ****** has an "in case of emergency number (for months now) that is not in working order. The whole experience with ****** and Goodman has been a nightmare .

"Goodman Central A/C"

Very Satisfied
We just bought our air conditioner about two months ago but so far I love it. My husband convinced me that we needed one so we finally decided to invest in central A/C after getting fed up with window units. There really isn't anything I dislike about this air conditioner. I haven't had any problems and have been so happy with it since we got it. It hasn't needed a repair or had any issues so far but we haven't had it long. I would definitely consider buying the same brand again and would recommend it to friends and family. It's the perfect size for our little house but still keeps it very cool. Our electric bill has even gone down compared to when we were using only the window units and fans. I especially love how quiet it is compared to some others that my friends and family have. It was a great investment and I couldn't be happier.

I bought the complete system about a month ago. I couldn't be happier. My electric bills are lower. The humidity control is awesome. The unit is very quiet. I'm really happy. I would recommend.
A review of the DSXC16 on webhvac.com states that it is one of the best values in the industry, featuring a lower price than comparable models by Carrier, Trane and others, with little quality reduction. Superior humidity reduction and an excellent warranty are also mentioned in the review.
