Energi Air Systems provides residential heating and cooling equipment, including air conditioners, heat pumps and gas furnaces. Energi Air Systems is a brand of Goodman Manufacturing. Goodman is part of the Daikin Group, which had net sales of approximately $18.4 billion in 2017.

Corporate History

Goodman Manufacturing was founded in 1975 by air conditioning contractor Harold Goodman as a manufacturer of flexible air duct and plastic blade registers. In 1982, Goodman entered the market as a manufacturer of central air conditioners and heat pumps. In 2004, Apollo Management, a private investment firm, purchased Goodman for approximately $1.4 billion. In August 2012, Daikin purchased Goodman. Goodman continues to operate as an independent company.

Product Lines

The Energi Air Systems line of air conditioners ranges from the 13 SEER GSX13 and GSC13 to the two-stage, 18 SEER DSXC18. Heat pumps come in four models, with the 18 SEER DSZC18 being the most efficient.

Gas furnaces are available in five models with 80% AFUE and nine units with efficiencies of over 90% AFUE. The company’s top-of-the-line furnaces are the GMVM97 and the GCVM97, which both feature an efficiency of 97% AFUE.
