Reviews by Furnace Series

Fits-All 80 Fits-All 92 CG95 CMP

Ducane provides a variety of products to help keep you comfortable even during the harshest winters. Those products include the following:

  • Gas furnaces
  • Oil furnaces
  • Heat pumps
  • Packaged units
  • Ductless systems

When cooler weather hits, a good heating source is essential. To produce heat, a furnace uses and burns fuel, commonly gas or oil. Then it moves the hot air produced throughout the home via a fan blower system. The waste is vented outside of the house to keep the inside air clean.

Care and Maintenance

If properly maintained and cared for, Ducane furnaces can last for many years. Preventative maintenance can go a long way toward saving you time and money. You can prevent most issues if you are proactive in caring for and maintaining your unit.

You should replace the filters every one to three months. A clogged filter affects the function of other important components. For example, the fan motors have to do more work because they have to try to move the air through a permeable, yet partially blocked surface.

To identify vulnerable areas or leaks, you should inspect the ductwork both near the furnace and farther away. Any leaks may result in a less efficient system because heat can escape through the openings.  During the inspection process, pay special attention to joints and corners to ensure they are sufficiently sealed. If you notice anything loose, missing or worn, provide appropriate maintenance in order to re-seal the opening. Doing so will maintain the efficiency of the system.

Prior to the start of the cold season, the unit will need service This process will reveal any problems, big or small, that may cause the furnace to malfunction during the most critical time of the year. A professional trained in HVAC maintenance should perform this service. In addition to locating and resolving issues, a technician can give you recommendations specific to your model furnace to keep it in operation for years to come.

Ducane Warranties

Ducane offers a 10-year limited parts warranty and a 20-year heat exchanger warranty. If you don’t register the unit within 90 days of purchase, the limited warranty period drops to five years, although the heat exchanger warranty remains at 20 years. To take advantage of these warranties, the owner has to live in the residence where the unit is located.
