DMO Industries manufactured two brands of furnaces: Olsen and Airco. These brands are now owned and marketed by ECR International, which is headquartered in Utica, N.Y. ECR was bought by BDR Thermea Group. BDR Thermea reported sales of approximately $2 billion USD in 2017. ECR International owns the Olsen, Airco and Oneida Royal brands of furnaces. ECR also owns the Utica and Dunkirk brands of boilers and Enviromaster International central air conditioners. BDR Thermea owns Baxi, among others.
ECR International was formed in June 1999 as a merger of the Utica Company and Dunkirk Radiator Corporation and named for the founder of both companies, Earle C. Reed. DMO Industries was previously known as Duomatic-Olsen. The company changed its name to Olsen Technology Inc. in 1989. In 2000, ECR International acquired the brand from Olsen’s bankrupt parent company, Canadian Manoir Industries Ltd.
ECR International continues to market oil furnaces and burners under the original DMO Industries brands Olsen and Airco.
Today, Olsen/Airco sells oil furnaces and air conditioners. Furnaces include lowboy and highboy selections. Units featuring the variable speed motor are capable of reaching up to 85 percent AFUE.
Olsen/Airco also offers 13 and 14 SEER air conditioners.
Olsen HVAC provides a limited lifetime warranty on its heat exchangers, and a 5-year limited parts warranty.
