"The worst air con. Mitsubishi on 27 is better than carrier on 21"
000 rating. Even the installer did not know how to set it. When set on 22 degrees it not as efficient as Mitsubishi on 27 degrees. Total waste of money. I now have to get this taken out and buy a new air con. Don't get sucked in like I was.
My evaporator coil started a leak just outside of 5 years. Carrier refused to do anything about it. It's a known problem; they are now making them out of aluminum. Do not buy a Carrier.
"After 5 years, we have had no trouble wth our unit"
After 5 years, we have had no trouble with our unit. It has always done a great job.
"It is junk!!!!"
Our Carrier air conditioning unit caused a leak in our ceiling. The drip pan corroded and our ceiling caved in ruining three areas of our home. Our hardwoods on our landing, stairs , and foyer have to be replaced. The dry wall and extensive trim needs to be replaced also. The unit was only 4 years old, do not buy!!! It is junk!!!! We have had to move out of home due to this flood caused by this air conditioner unit. The technician said hands down it is a problem w/ the Carrier unit. He has been replacing the pans on several units lately because they have all gone bad. Why did they not recall the unit or trays. We should have been warned. We have over $100,000 worth of damage to our home. beware!!!!
