The Burnham Revolution II is a gas boiler with standard ignition and maintenance controls and an indirect water heater for constant and steady comfort. This boiler is Energy Star rated with an AFUE of up to 90-91.2%. It is a two-stage boiler available in both condensing and non-condensing versions.
My 9 year old Revolution II needed its water manifold assembly replaced at the start of the heating season of 2015. The part is out of stock and because the model is discontinued, no longer manufactured. A reply from ******* ******* of U.S.Boiler is as follow: "As a good will gesture, U.S.Boiler Company was in the process of locating a manufacturer…you were offered a goodwill rebate if you had replaced it with a U.S.Boiler product." Because winter is almost here, I opted to have my boiler replaced with a competing company. In short, U.S. Boiler is telling me freeze until we find a manufacturer to fabricate a part that should have been available.

"Very bad, every year need to fix it."
It was installed in May 2012. Right now is the second time it's stop working, and it makes too many noises. I'm so upset that I got this boiler. I give it 0 star. I need to talk to every one – don't buy that kind of boiler. I will complain to the Better Business Bureau also.
Cracked block. Replacement block–cracked. Replacement block—cracked! Water leaked over basement floor. This company deserves to be sued!
"Noisey, Noisey, Noisey"
For 4 years now I have had to listen to the Burnham, Revolution, installed new, scream a loud whistling sound (I estimate at over 50db) eminating from the draft blower and exhaust system. After several efforts to remedy this noise via interactions w/Burnham management (The CEO for one), the problem remains. I truly believe a retrofit of the draft fan would solve the problem. However, noone at Burnham wants to deal with this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
"Sign me up"
Install v7 Boiler Oct. 1999. Noticed a crack in the boiler block Dec. 2011. Called Burnam to report it,they tell me the warranty is up by one year. "So,Sorry" good-bye.(NICE), Now what. How do I get on that class action suit. Can't wait to sign up!
Other Revolution II Reviews
Comments on the Consumer Democracy message boards reflect consumers’ high satisfaction with Burnham boilers:
In this a Consumer Democracy message board (the link has died over the years), one poster calls this boiler “very solid.” This may have a triple meaning, referring to sturdy construction, sound design, and ace performance — the three categories for which any furnace or appliance should be judged. In all three, apparently, Burnham has achieved very high grades.
In another Consumer Democracy message board, a commenter writes that these units heat up the entire home. The heat is heavy, even, floating, all encompassing, and comforting — like a warm blanket. What makes it even better is the speed at which it performs.
In yet another Consumer Democracy post, another comment elaborates on price. The Burnham boilers are very inexpensive, to not only buy and install, but also concerning performance. This brand cut [the writer’s] oil bill in half. “It is very economical — a great deal for its quality and performance.”
The Burnham furnaces are a bit noisy, though, claims a poster. The heat is there, but the sound can be distracting.
