The Burnham Alpine Boiler is a gas fired, condensing stainless steel boiler. The Alpine is Energy Star rated, with an efficiency rating of 95 AFUE. The Alpine features a stainless steel heat exchanger and smart controls, which allow settings to be adjusted with the push of a button. The easy to remove control panel allows for easy servicing, and the gas, water, and electrical connections are all made from the left side of the boiler. The Alpine comes in seven models, ranging in size from 80,000 to 500,000 BTU's, and can be converted from natural gas to LP gas with the turn of a screw.
Our old boiler broke down, so I had to invest in a new one two years ago. I love the reliability of it. The boiler always heats the whole house. It's very reliable, I never have to come home to a cold house as I used to with my old boiler. I have no dislikes about my boiler; it runs quiet and it is not expensive to heat the whole house, as I thought it would be. My gas bill is actually lower compared to the bill when I had my old boiler. Even better, I never smell fumes in the house, as I did with the old boiler. I have recommend this Burnham unit to my friends and I think anyone in the market for a new boiler should consider this brand as a first choice. All I can say is good things about it. I wish I would have bought it years ago. I would have saved so much money on my gas bill, which I am saving now. And it's not just the gas bill; I'm saving on my electric bill, too, because I used to have an electric space heater in each bathroom, but now I don't need them. In the long run I think this unit will pay for itself in the energy costs that I am saving.
"safe reliable efficient and low cost."
since we have gotten this boiler, it has saved us money and time. we purchased it from a very friendly salesperson and at a fair price. the installation was quick and easy and I was able to receive information via the phone that allowed me to do it on my own. I have little background in installation of appliances such as this but I was easily able to do it with the direction given to me via the phone. I love the boiler, for the price and the size, it satisfies all the needs that we have at our vacation cabin. I go to my cabin every so often on the weekends to spend time snowmobiling and relaxing. It is everything we needed and has not let us down yet. I am hopeful that it will last a long time, and so far it has been great! Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

"Unhappy and broke"
We had a Burnham boiler installed in 2011, and during the first winter the exhaust pipe froze 2 times. Why are they installed that way in the Northeast? In 2012, the same thing. In 2013, we had to replace the pump. Also fixed the pipe problem; we had to take the pipe apart in the basement, so air flows in my basement. No one in Binghamton knows what the hell kind of burner I have, so they can't service it. The Burnham techs are only on call until 3 in the afternoon and not on weekends. Who sells a product like that?

"Bad bad bad"
I have had nothing but problems with my brand new gas burner since day 1. Within 3 months I needed a new computer. It cost $1200.00. Since then it has needed one repair after another, totaling more in repairs than the cost of the boiler itself. Burnham will not respond to my calls and has no interest in accountability. The burner, to date, is only 3 years old and I need a new one already.
I bought my 1200 square foot house last year, 2013, knowing that the first thing I was going to do was take out the Kenmore oil boiler – it makes my hot water too – and install a gas unit! After reading reviews on every boiler, I noticed that everyone had something bad to say about every boiler made. After weeks of talking to people, I was torn between the Alpine 105 or the Weil McLain series 3, both high efficiency boilers. Reading many reviews, people were saying high efficiency boilers won't heat your house up as fast as the 80 to 85% efficient boilers. This isn't true. I finally decided that the Alpine 105 with an indirect water heater was the way to go! So here you go! I love it! My 1920's house is nice and warm. It heats up fast, and with both floors running, my shower is nice and hot! Do yourself a favor – if you want to install a Burnham, find a plumber that installs them! Performance of the unit has a lot to do with the installer! Hope this review helps!
Online reviews of the Alpine are generally positive. Reviewers on doityourself.com commented on the reduced heating bill and quiet operation since installing an Alpine. Members on several sites, including brownstoner.com, remark that the Alpine is a good, efficient unit, but also note the difficulty of installation.
Product registration is required within 90 days of installation for maximum warranty coverage. The Alpine boiler is covered by a 5-year parts and labor warranty used in a residential application. The plan covers all Burnham-provided parts and the associated labor costs.
