BUDERUS G215 Boilers

Buderus G215 Boiler Overview

The Buderus G215 is a cast iron oil-fired boiler with an efficiency of up to 86.7% AFUE. The unit is constructed of flexible, corrosion-resistant GL-180M cast iron and designed to resist thermal shock during rapid temperature change. A full swing burner door is hinged on both ends for easy maintenance, and front access plugs allow for flushing of the unit’s interior. Three inches of thermal insulation under the heavy gauge enamel jacket covers the entire boiler and reduces standby heat loss.

Buderus G215 Boiler Reviews

"Best Boiler Review"

We have owned the boiler for 5 years now and it has worked perfectly. We have had no issues with its performance and compared to ones in the past of various brands and models, this one works the best. The installation was not easy; however, the brand is made in Germany by Bosch which is a trustworthy brand. The model we have is also energy efficient and environmentally friendly as it is oil burning so we like that. We have not needed to repair it yet in 5 years, and the boiler eliminates any hot and cold spots that we found in previous models. We thought the price on this particular model was pretty high; however, for the energy it consumes (much less than a gas version) and for the easy access to the interior and for the great performance, we found this model to have many more likes than dislikes. The color blue we also found appealing compared to previous brands we have owned.

"I so regret buying a Buderus burner"

What a disaster going with Buderus. My oil company has stopped charging me for service calls! I've had at least 30 service calls since its installation in 2009. Every time he comes he replaces something. I can't go on vacation during the winter because I fear it will simply quit, which has happened every winter. I go downstairs dreading seeing the orange reset light shining and 100 percent of the time there it is bright as day. Now they just replaced the pump on it. I want it out. I'm done with Buderus. As far as I'm concerned they stink

I agree that the installer must be up to the level of the product. I had some small problems (leaking fuel) that were fixed with a well qualified and experienced repair man. It is quiet and efficient and less costly for the winter despite the very cold winter this year.

I have Buderus 2 years old and never went more than 4 weeks without waking up to 55 degrees. By the time the installer felt it was the "brain" the parts house wouldn't warranty it. Spent over 1k and still have the same problem. We can't even plan a winter vacation till this is solved.

I bought a Buderus g215 water boiler an indirect Logalux lt water heater to replace a 50 year old American Standard boiler. Had it installed in February when it was -10 degrees. My local dealer did the install. I did the research and sized it correctly for a 2700 sq.ft.house and did the purchasing myself for all the components including a Riello burner and Taco sr50 switching relay and outside temp sensors to control water temp. While it was being installed, I changed the house from 2 zone to 8 zone. The guys had the old boiler out, the new boiler and water heater installed in just over 10 hours. The house never got below 60. That was 8 years ago. I get it cleaned yearly although Buderus support (who actually will talk to the general public) says it isn't necessary. I have had zero problems with anything. 4 water circulators, 8 zone valves and no problems with anything! I live in northern Maine. It gets cold, very cold. Glad I purchased what I did. It just sits there and runs.
