With up to 19 SEER and 9.0 HSPF, all models of Bryant’s Evolution series meet Energy Star guidelines for efficiency. These two-stage heat pumps maximize home comfort and energy savings by consistently operating on a lower function and automatically transitioning to high heating stage when needed.
This series uses Puron refrigerant and advertises sound as quiet as a vacuum with the noise softening features of the AeroQuiet System II. The Evolution line is also equipped with an easy to read thermostat with the ability to program 7 days of temperature, humidity, and air quality.
All units have a powder-coat finish and are finished with Bryant’s DuraGuard Plus formula for extra durability and protection weather.
Installed a Bryant evolution 2-stage zone hvac system in winter of 04- 05. Had a lot of problems during the first couple of months getting it to work properly. Compressor went out in 08. Now, in 10, the auto dampers malfunction. The installing company techs seem to have no clue what is going wrong. They now won't even return my calls. No air flow on main floor of house. I won't buy another Bryant product, nor buy from my current dealer.
"Evolution Series Not Happy"
Yesterday the main unit compressor was fixed, today the upstairs (where the bedrooms are) went out. It's 80 degrees, humid and no breeze, For the past four years, I have been satisfied with all three of our Evolution systems which we have serviced twice a year. However, this past week, the beginning of August, the compressor went out on our main unit. It took 3 days to get here then the factory (Bryant) sent the wrong one. Since this happened over a weekend, we were on day 6 with no air and heat advisories. Friday morning, I called to see if a compressor could be rushed to us. They said it would be Monday before we could get it. Bryant wouldn't budge and said that they didn't even know which factory my dealer ordered it from. Pretty much, they didn't want anything to do with it and did not seem interested in keeping a customer who bought 3 of their top of the line systems happy. I will note that between two Air conditioning techs, I was told that if it was installed improperly with any type of moisture in the line that it would cause the compressor to go out early. However, the contractor our builder used was supposedly on of Bryant's approved contractors.
"Geat Deal Great system"
Bryant Evolution system running two years now. Central Florida area so it runs almost all year long. I saved over $1500.00 on my electrical bill so far compaired to my old junk Goodman system that failed in 4 years and had to be replaced. Great product and happy with the factory authorized dealer who installed it.
"Best HVAC unit ever!"
We had a Bryant Evolution heat pump system with a high-efficiency gas backup furnace. The system heats and cools unbelievably well, even in extreme temperatures. It is so quiet, I can seldom even tell when it's running. Definitely would buy again!
"Save your time and money buy Trane"
In 2008, purchased Bryant seer-16/3 ton complete heat pump/AC with variable speed Evolution control panel. We had plan to buy a Trane system from our research but was talked into the Bryant and "Guarantee" of 25-30% electricity savings. New system used more electricity. Installer checked and recheck, nothing wrong. I had another dealership for Bryant come out and check again, nothing wrong. The installing company even had a tech, from Bryant check system; checked ok. It took two years to get the installer to take out the Bryant and install a Trane seer-16. Control panel is easier to work and our electricial cost has been less each month.
From consumer posts to HVAC reviews, Bryant's Evolution series is thought to be a quality product. Webhvac.com goes as far to say the Evolution series is one among one of the best heat pumps in the industry. Others on heatpumprating.com note the Evolution models are not only effective for cutting energy costs, but are also reasonably lower in price than other brand's top tier heat pumps.
Consumers on hvac-talk.com did report individual issues with their unit, but did complement the system's on board diagnostic system. Folks on justanswer.com say that tool contributes to more efficient operation. Consumers on this thread also recommend the Evolution series to others looking for increased humidity control.
