Corporate History
Breckwell was founded in 1987 in Eugene, Oregon by David Wells and Al Breckel. The company name is a combination of the founders’ last names. The company continues to design and manufacture products in Eugene, Oregon, in a new and modern facility. The company was purchased by US Stove in 2011.
Product Lines
Breckwell features a large line of pellet and wood stoves with a variety of sizes, outputs, capacities, and designs. These lines include both free-standing and insert stoves designed to fit inside an existing fireplace. Models of pellet stoves include the Big E, Blazer, Maverick, Sonora, and Tahoe.
Breckwell also manufactures two furnaces: The SF747 is a wood-burning furnace which produces up to 180,000 BTUs, and the SP8500 is a multi-fuel furnace which is able to burn corn, pellets, and other fuels. Both are designed for use with existing ductwork as an add-on to an existing furnace.
Warranty
Breckwell products are covered by a 3-year warranty on the firebox/firepot, heat exchanger, and door. There is a 1-year warranty on the cabinet and trim, gaskets, electrical components, and ceramic glass/agitator.
