The Bradford White TTW is a residential power-vent gas water heater with an Energy Factor of up to 0.70. The capacity of the TTW ranges from 40 to 75 gallons, and select models are Energy Star qualified. It features a corrosion-resistant Vitraglas lining, and a layer of non-CFC foam insulation helps reduce heat loss. An advanced temperature control system monitors and controls burner operation, and an LED diagnostic system shows ten different diagnostic codes for quick troubleshooting. The unit is configured for vertical and horizontal venting through a roof or wall, and a flammable vapor sensor shuts down the burner if flammable vapors are detected. A magnesium anode rod protects against rust and corrosion, and a T&P relief valve and brass drain valve are factory installed.
My water heater is 6 months old and Bradford White Co. Is not repairing my tmp valve without a labor charge. Their rep. Gave me every excuse possible to explain why the problem wouldn't be their water heaters fault. All of their excuses were lame and I told the rep. So, but they want me to pay for the labor on a 6-month-old water heater. This will be the last Bradford White appliance that I purchase.
"Terrible water heater"
Installed 11/13/11, had to have new thermostat 11/10/16. It has been acting up and needs a new one again. It is either to hot or not hot enough and it is acting the very same way it did 2 years ago. Replacement cost was $315.23. Original cost was 1030.75. I really expected better performance/quality.
My Bradford-White water heater lasted 14 months, had to pay installation and removal cost, customer service at Bradford-White not helpful at all, I'm 53 years old, worst company I have ever dealt with.
House was built in 2008. I had to replace my Bradford white 50 gallon tank on July 2012. After getting a new one I am again replacing my Bradford white hot water heater 5 years later… I will not be purchasing my next hot water heater from them….. Very disappointing!!!!
"Mine is a Good One"
I'm as satisfied as anyone could be. My 50 Gal. Bradford White water heater is currently 27 years in service on well water and still working just fine. Enough said.
A homeowner on doityourself.com with no hot water from his TTW was advised to contact the company because his unit should be covered by a 6-year warranty. On hvac-talk.com, a homeowner was considering replacing the blower motor on his TTW but was advised to replace the tank because the unit was over 10 years old.
