A fully modulating fan assembly helps to increase the unit’s efficiency. All models are available for use with LP or natural gas, with a conversion kit included.
The boiler we currently have is newer, less than a year old. It had to be replaced since the other one stopped working. I really like that this brand is very energy efficient, and the overall lifetime cost is very low. The lifetime cost of using this product is about $13,000 which is great honestly. I also like that it saves me on my water bill, the energy efficient part is the top reason I love this product. The only thing I really disliked was the price but I think it was worth it overall just hit the wallet a little hard, but what items do not. This item is a replacement for our old one, this one has yet to be repaired since it is only a few months old. Our old one lasted about 8 years. The last one only had two repairs, then it could not be repaired anymore. I would buy this brand again on the sole fact that is saves money.

"My wonderful Bosch Boiler"
5.0 rating
Very Satisfied
So far I have owned this boiler for 2 years, and so far it has been an excellent product. It is very quiet, which is wonderful in our small home. I can stand roughly 10 feet away and be unable to hear it operate. It is extremely energy efficient as well, cutting my bill down by nearly $45 a month, which on a fixed income, is extremely important to me. It is also fairly small, and was very easy to install. It only took about 10 minutes to get it hooked up. As of writing this, I have no negative things to say about it. So far it hasn't given me any problems. No need to replace it or repair it yet as well. I would without a doubt recommend it to my friends (and I have), and if it ever did break, I would buy the same model again without any doubt.

"Great boiler for a home"

I moved into my current house about a year ago. The home owner before I moved in lived in this house for 5 years. He told me he hasn't changed the boiler or water heater ever. So I thought moving in that I would have to change the boiler along the way but so far I haven't had any problems with the boiler. It's quieter than most boilers I had and it keeps the water hot for a really long time. 5 people in my family shower back to back in the morning and it keeps the water running hot throughout the whole time. Even if I had to replace it because it broke, I would probably end up buying the same boiler again just because I like it so much. It seems really reliable for a home. I would definitely recommend this boiler to anyone who is looking to buy one.

"Incredibly Efficient Space and Water Heater"

We installed the Bosch Greenstar ZWB 42-3 in our newly purchased home in January. While a serious investment, its one of the things I'm most happy with from our remodel. While we live in a relatively warm location, our home is coastal, and often very chilly. When we remodeled our new home we decided we needed some central heating for overcast days, but wanted to make sure we employed something that didn't use a ton of energy. Our home has solar, so we track our energy usage pretty closely, and the boiler, even when used regularly, barely makes a dent. My favorite part about this particular appliance is that it also provides on demand hot water. Showers are now absolutely amazing! My only small complaint is the volume when water heating is being conducted. The boiler is located next to my home office, and the noise it produces when in use can be pretty distracting. All in all, a very champagne problem, but something I would change if I could.

"Bosch Greenstar, an excellent choice"

I was in the market for a boiler about a year ago, and have owned the Bosch Greenstar ZBR 16-3 for about 11 months now. It has performed impeccably and is very efficient; this is probably due to it's super small efficient design and fuel efficient technology. It was a great improvement from my previous boiler which was a Westinghouse. I have never had to replace anything on it, but that may be due to the fact since it is relatively new. However it came backed with a 10 year warranty which I feel very strongly about and has made me trust the company. The only negative thing about my purchase would probably be the price, I paid quite a premium over my previous boiler but the quality improvement definitely shows. I would recommend the Bosch to anybody in the market for a new boiler since it has met and exceeded my expectations by a large margin.
In comparisons on hvac-talk.com between the Greenstar and similar units by Weil-McLain, Buderus and Triangle Tube, there were several positive comments about the Bosch unit. The majority of professionals appear to prefer the other units, but not by a large margin.
