Armstrong Air Ultra V Tech 91 Furnace Reviews

"Great furnace"

5.0 rating
Very Satisfied

Purchased in 2003 I would I will buy another Armstrong air zero problems besides normal maintenance issues. I read some reviews and all I can say is wow are people really that clueless if you are hire someone to inspect your furnace annually. One review said the furnace is leaking water fyi your furnace doesn’t produce water the humidifier does and I am positive that’s where your water is coming from your humidifier these things requires yearly filter changes or they leak. Absolutely nothing to do with the furnace it’s a separate add on.

I installed this furnace 10 yrs ago myself (no experience), except freon connection and charge. Have not had to service this other than filters. Does a great job at heat and ac.

"Furnace is six years old it has been serviced from day one"

Furnace is six years old it has been serviced from day one. Today I was to have it cleaned and it has to have a new Ventor motor. And a collectors box for a six yr old furnace I would say very poor should not have to do large repairs this soon. I was told if Collector box was not replaced my heat exchanger would rust out. Not. I bought the ultra v tech 91 and i’m sorry I wasted my money. I have a two story home, and the little “so-called” force air doesn’t reach the second floor. this is the worst piece of crap i’ve ever seen for a furnace. it’s loud, it leaks water out of the pipes in the summer, and gives little heat in the winter. don’t waste your money !!! i’ve only had this furnace 4 yrs.

My home was custom built with our request for a gas furnace. Our builder installed a Ultra v Tech 91 which has been reliable, but sucks for even and consistent heat distribution. We trusted he picked a unit to suit our homes requirements, but have learned shame on us as we should have investigated ourselves to determine what was needed. I will not by another Armstrong unit as I feel they did not give good guidance to our builder. We have since added a coal furnace which heats evenly with no cold spots for a very low cost.
