Silver 14 Allegiance 12 Platinum ZV Silver SI

Air conditioners keep your home cool during the hot summer months. There are a few different kinds of air conditioning units to choose from, including window units, central air conditioning units and packaged units.

You can also choose between split and packaged units. Your central air HVAC system can be packaged in one unit or split into two. With a packaged air conditioning unit, each part that cools and blows your air is together. A split system, however, has two parts: an indoor air handler and the outdoor unit.

American Standard air conditioner series and models

Most air conditioning systems are rated based on their Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). The SEER rating is the ratio of the cooling output of an air conditioner over a typical cooling season divided by the energy it consumed in watt-hours. In each case, final prices can vary based on installation costs and factors like the size of your home and the type of unit you choose. Consult a local HVAC professional for the most accurate pricing.
