Corporate History

The Ducane Co. was founded in Union City, N.J., in 1947. The company manufactured both HVAC equipment and grills and related accessories until Lennox purchased Ducane Co.'s Air Conditioning and Heating Division in 1999 for approximately $45 million.

Ducane offers central air conditioners and heat pumps that range from 13.0 to 18,0 SEER. Of Ducane's ten series of air conditioners and heat pumps, six feature an Energy Star label.
