Concord Air Conditioners, Furnaces and Heat Pumps
Concord Air Products, a subsidiary of Allied Air, produces air conditioners, heat pumps and gas, oil and electric furnaces that it markets as "good," "better" and "best." The company promotes its products as cost-effective options for homeowners.
Concord Air Products are a part of the Allied Air division of Lennox International.
Lennox International has a history dating back to 1895 when Dave Lennox sold his first furnace. At the end of fiscal year 2012, Lennox had net sales of nearly $3 billion.
Concord’s best air conditioners and heat pumps reach up to 18 SEER, with HSPF ratings of up to 9.2 for those heat pumps. Two-stage scroll compressors are designed to provide quiet operation and humidity control. At the other end of the spectrum are the company’s 13 SEER units, which are noted to have as additional features a defrost control on the heat pumps that to kick on with a minimum of noise.
Among other furnace options, the company offers constant torque gas furnaces at either 95 or 80 percent AFUE. According to the manufacturer, the torque provides the energy-efficiency benefits of variable-speed ECM motors at a more cost-effective price. The technology also assists with quiet operation and good airflow. The company offers a range of other furnace options, from single- to two-stage to variable speed.
The manufacturer notes that each of its systems is 100 percent factory run-tested.
