Question to ask when selecting a central air conditioning system

Second, find out what capacity of Central Air you need. There's really no shortcut for this -- you just need to make it clear to the contractors that are bidding on your project that you won't hire anyone that doesn't do a load calculation.

Fourth, make sure you understand how HVAC warranties work. In particular, ask your contractor how long they warrant both parts AND labor for a new install. Make sure you get that in writing.
