live in Mid-West and travel to south in winter months. For the past 10 years, I always set it at 53. Now it seems I will pay more in heating bill. It seems to me it is a design defect? Don't know what to do.

Lennox dealer told me the new furnace SLP98 must set at above 60 in winter months when away and fan must be on all the time. I live in Michigan during summer months and South in winter. For the past 12 years, I set my old furnace at 53-55F when away and never experienced any problems. I installed SLP98 to save my energy bill, now I end up having to spend more on a vacant home. It seems to be a product flaw. I need verification...
