Old Olsen/Airco furnaces have a great history of longevity, but what about their latest products? seems like many negative comments. What to do?

No problem, except need to replace a 40- year old Lennox furnace for better efficiency. Local Oil Company recommended the Olsen/Airco furnace.

This is actually a highly rated furnace on our and other sites. Most reviewers noted the longevity of the furnace as well as reliability and lack of repairs. They also have quite a few high efficiency furnaces that are Energy Star rated.

One warning is that the regular warranty that comes with the furnace is not as good as it should be so you should probably purchase the upgraded warranty for peace of mind.

I would also advice you to get more than one estimate and recommendation. I'm not sure where you live and the heating load of your home, but you should definitely talk to some other HVAC techs and see what they have to say.

To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present.  To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
