What size filter is needed for the Freedom 80, Model #TXC036CAHPCOPost created: 2013-05-27 Type of Equipment: Furnace Views: 338
This question was created on the page: https://www.furnacecompare.com/furnaces/american-standard/freedom-80.html.
The current filter needs changing and seems to be too small to cover the opening. I just moved in and need to get the correct new filter!

The filter sizes range from 16x25x1, 17x25x1, 20x25x1, and 24x25x1.

Sorry to not be more help. I would recheck the model number and then give American Standard a call.
To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present. To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.

Thank you so much. I doubled checked and the model and serial number were on the unit themselves and they are correct. The current filter is too small 16X25X1 and air comes out around it at the top. So will try the 17 and the 20. Thanks for your help!
