The size unit you need depends on variables related to your home such as its size, number of rooms, layout, insulation R value, and the relative average outdoor temperature of where you live. Without this information it's impossible to make an estimation. I would add that this is one of the most important aspects of installing a new furnace. An improperly sized furnace, too large or too small, can cause mechanical problems, poor cooling, and inefficient operation.

You can find a basic calculator here: http://www.northernac.com/newcalc.htm.

To keep legal happy, let me just say that I am not an HVAC contractor, and you should never even look at your furnace without having a qualified, liability accepting HVAC contractor present.  To keep sales happy, let me just say that you can find an HVAC contractor that's happy to take your money here: http://www.furnacecompare.com/perl/find_contractors.pl.
